A boy who is 3 feet tall can cast a shadow on the ground that is 7 feet long. How tall is a man who can cast a shadow that is 14 feet long? Solve this problem by setting up a proportion. Show your work.(p. 250, example 4)

Set up a proportion:7 over 3 cross multiplied by 14 over X. 7X=3(14), 7x=42, x=6. A 6 ft tall man casts a 14 ft shadow.
