(2sqrt(x-5))=2
Divide both sides by 2
sqrt(x-5) = 1
Square both sides
x -5 = 1^2
x-5 = 1
Add 5 to both sides
x = 6
CHECK
2sqrt(6-5) =
2sqrt(1)=
2*1=
2
