Carla's plant was 10 2/3 inches tall. Yolanda's was 8 3/4 inches tall. How much taller was Carla's plant than Yolanda's?

I came up with 2 11/12.   Am I right??

2/3=8/12. 10 and 8/12 3/4=9/12. 8 and 9/12 128/12-105/12=23 23/12=1 11/12 No you are incorrect. It is not 2 and 11/12, but 1 and 11/12.
